Just Dance Decades of Hits Standard vs Deluxe vs Ultimate Editions Compared

Understanding the Editions of Just Dance Decades of Hits

When diving into Ubisoft's immersive music journey spanning six distinct decades, choosing the right package makes all the difference. Whether you want a straightforward tracklist experience or a fully loaded bundle equipped with extended subscription access and exclusive cosmetics, breaking down the version differences ensures you get the best value for your party and workout sessions.

The game delivers a cheerful, story-driven Adventure Mode alongside local multiplayer for up to six players, Party Mode, and Workout Mode. Because pricing and bundle contents vary across platforms like Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and Nintendo Switch, examining the exact contents of the Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate tiers helps clarify which package fits your gameplay style.

Standard Edition: What You Get

The entry point for most players is the Standard Edition, priced starting at $39.99+. This tier is designed for fans who primarily want the core gameplay experience without investing heavily in upfront subscription add-ons or bonus cosmetic packs immediately.

Standard Edition Contents

• Base Access: Just Dance Free Experience
• Core Game Add-on: Just Dance: Decades of Hits core add-on and tracklist
• Price Point: Starting at $39.99+

This option is ideal for casual dancers and families who want to experience the six themed worlds, enjoy iconic throwback tracks like Billy Joel's "Uptown Girl" or ABBA's "Mamma Mia", and jump straight into local multiplayer sessions without paying for extra bundled extras they might not use right away.

Deluxe Edition: Stepping Up with Cosmetics and Passes

Moving up to the Deluxe Edition, priced at $49.99+, bridges the gap between the base game and extended content libraries. This version is tailored for dedicated fans who want thematic customization right out of the gate alongside a solid chunk of subscription-based song access.

Deluxe Edition Contents

• Base Access: Just Dance Free Experience
• Core Game Add-on: Just Dance: Decades of Hits
• Cosmetic Add-on: Just Dance: Decades of Hits – 2000s Cosmetic Pack
• Subscription Pass: Just Dance + 3-Month Pass
• Price Point: Starting at $49.99+

According to Microsoft Store details for the Xbox release, this bundle packs the 2000s Cosmetic Pack to let players customize their profile and avatars, paired with a three-month subscription pass. The 3-month pass opens up a wider catalog of historical tracks, ensuring your party sessions stay fresh long after you finish the story-driven Adventure Mode.

Ultimate Edition: The Complete Intergenerational Package

For hardcore dance enthusiasts and families who host frequent gatherings, the Ultimate Edition stands as the most comprehensive offering. Retailing from $69.99+, this tier maximizes your catalog longevity by upgrading the subscription duration included in the bundle.

Ultimate Edition Contents

• Base Access: Just Dance Free Experience
• Core Game Add-on: Just Dance: Decades of Hits
• Cosmetic Add-on: Just Dance: Decades of Hits – 2000s Cosmetic Pack
• Subscription Pass: Just Dance + 12-Month Pass
• Price Point: Starting at $69.99+

By swapping the 3-month pass for a full 12-Month Pass, the Ultimate Edition provides a full year of expanded song selections and regular content drops. When you factor in the cost of purchasing a year-long subscription separately down the line, bundling it directly with the game and the 2000s Cosmetic Pack offers substantial long-term savings for dedicated players.

Comparing Edition Pricing and Add-ons

To help visualize how each version stacks up against the others, a quick side-by-side comparison outlines the financial investment and digital contents included in each tier:

When evaluating these choices, consider how often you plan to play. If you only intend to dance to the core generational tracklist during occasional weekend gatherings, the Standard Edition is sufficient. However, if you want year-round variety through streaming additions and unique avatar items, stepping up to Deluxe or Ultimate provides better overall value.

Which Edition Should You Buy?

Choosing the right version comes down to balancing your budget with your appetite for additional dance tracks and customization. Here are a few recommendations based on different player profiles:

• Choose Standard ($39.99+) if: You are on a strict budget, primarily want to play the core six-decade tracklist with friends locally, and prefer buying song packs or subscription extensions manually later.
• Choose Deluxe ($49.99+) if: You love early 2000s aesthetic customization and want a solid 90-day trial of extended song streaming to keep your party routine varied.
• Choose Ultimate ($69.99+) if: You play regularly as a family or fitness group and want uninterrupted access to the massive online song library for a full 12 months without worrying about monthly renewals.

Keep in mind that online multiplayer features and cloud-playable elements also require a stable internet connection, an active Ubisoft account, platform accounts, and applicable console subscription tiers (such as Game Pass Essential, Core, or Ultimate on Xbox platforms). Be sure to check specific platform storefronts like the Official Nintendo Switch Store Page before finalizing your digital purchase.
